Triathlon Program

Program Overview

Supported by Triathlon NSW and Triathlon Australia the NCAS Triathlon program is designed to offer training and competition support to athletes residing on the North Coast who are already part of a NSW athlete development pathway, as well as identifying and developing new talent into these programs.

This program is designed to assist the individual development of each athlete so that they progress further in the sport. The program will now have an emphasis on providing greater skills development, strength and conditioning support and physical preparation. The Triathlon Program will be conducted through a number of camp based training sessions, complimented by an Academy Games tour. Squad members will also receive an athlete education program which includes sports nutrition, sports physiology, sports psychology, media training and drugs awareness.

Squad numbers are limited, and selections of applicants will be based on the athletes past performance at any triathlon, cycling, running, swimming, or similar events within the last 12 months.  Applicants must be a member of a triathlon club or be prepared to join one upon successfully gaining a position in the squad.

Applications will open June with the program expected to run July - November.
